After a long and challenging search, singer-songwriter Martha Wainwright decided to widen the net when it came to finding the right high school for her son, Arcangelo.
“There didn’t seem to be that many options for him,” says the musician who celebrated the 20th anniversary of her debut studio album with a North American tour last year.
“I was concerned about whether or not he would be able to thrive in a regular high school setting and was looking for a school for kids with learning differences.”
Wainwright felt that her son, who was coming from a very specialized elementary school, could continue his schooling through the regular English high school curriculum. However, he needs some extra help, which was frustratingly difficult to find.
