Our Partnership With Parents

Our parents’ job is to nurture, support and guide their children at home.

Every parent wants to give their child the opportunity to succeed in school and in life. Centennial helps put that success within reach for children with learning challenges. Parents are key to this process. We develop a partnership with our parents based on trust, respect, honesty and transparency.

Our roles are very different, but they complement and support each other:

  • We rely on parents to provide their children with acceptance, limit-setting, guidance, and structure.
  • They rely on us to provide a rigorous, supportive, accessible academic environment for their children.

“My son received his first Math Award in grade 7 and by grade 9 he was on the honour roll. Yes, this journey has been a struggle, but now I see that every sacrifice made was worth it. Thanks to a lot hard work…my son will graduate this year with honours… It’s a great story and I am glad it’s mine.”

“Our son was accepted in the first round at the CEGEP of his choice in a very challenging science program. The progress that he made at Centennial is priceless. His self-doubt has been transformed to self-confidence. He is prepared for the academic challenge he has ahead, and he is looking forward to it.”
